The Cosmos Decoded
When Professor George Mason discovers the true nature of Dark Matter, with a little help from his prodigious daughter, not only does it solve one of science’s greatest mysteries but it flings open the door to a radical new form of transportation. At first what seems like pure science fiction, the ability to travel instantly to any point in the universe, becomes a real threat to the fundamental nature of time and space. Hard to believe that something so important would begin with an accidental breakthrough and a smashed teacup..
From a basement in Cambridge to the skyscrapers of Shanghai, a trip into Earth’s orbit and a visit to Death Valley, it’s a story of discovery and loss that leads to the unexpected truth of human existence itself. Like a Pandora’s box packed with chaos and confusion, The Darkway takes us on a trip from the ridiculous to the sublime and back again.
About the author
Twenty seven years after first deciding to be a writer, in 2017 Christopher Hart finally put words to paper (or screen) and embarked on an epic 6-month journey to publish a series of science fiction short stories. The result was OUTMODE, an exploration of the impact of artificial intelligence on ordinary lives – with a twist of dark humour. Between the decision to write and the giant leap to actually doing it, Christopher pursued a career in advertising as an art director and copywriter. It took him around the world and currently he resides in France. The Darkway is his first full-length novel.
